The Béarn
An item dated Toulon, France 20th reported that the French first squadron commanded by admiral Dubois was being prepared for manoeuvres. It consisted of 2 battleships, 4 cruisers, 16 destroyers, 6 submarines and the aircraft carrier Béarn.(1)

The Béarn was laid down at the shipyard Société Nouvelle des Forges et Chantiers de la Méditerranéee, La Seyne, France as a battleship of the Normandie-class on 10 January 1914, launched as an aircraft cattier n April 1920, commissioned in May 1927 and stricken on 21 March 1967 and finally broken up in Italy.
