An item dated Nauen, 21th reported that members of the Soviet cabinet at the International Naval Conference at Rome tried to persuade the other delegations that the Soviet Union was allowed to have a 400.000 tons tonnage of battleships, while the conference wanted to limit that tonnage to 110.000 tons.(1)
