Ammunition storage of British St. Vincent-class battleships according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1910-1911 no. 3


An item reported that the British St. Vincent-class was to be fitted out with a storage of 16 armour shells, 16 Lydite shells and 48 common shells for each 30,5cm gun and 150 shells for each 10,2cm gun.(1)

1. The St. Vincent-class consisting of the St. Vincent, Collingwood and Vanguard, preceded by the Bellerophon-class and succeeded by the Neptune-class, Main armament consisted of 5x2-12” breech loading Mark XI guns, with a secondary armament of 20x1-4“ breech loading Mark VII guns.
