Planned construction work at the navy yard at Rochefort, France according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1887-1888 no. 4

An item reported that according to the report of the budget commission for the French naval budget over 1887 dealing with the navy yards that at Rochefort, France  the torpedo cruiser Epervier and a sailing frigate were to be completed. The aviso transport still on stocks was already in far stadium of completion. The resting working days were to be used for laying down two fast cruisers.
