British submarine HMS M2 fitted out with seaplanes according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1928 no. 6

An item referred to the magazine Schiffbau reporting that on board of the British submarine M2 (1) the 30.5cm/12” gun was removed and replaced by a watertight tube for storing 3 seaplanes which were catapulted. The tests seemed to have been satisfying although there were no experiences with the use of the planes on the high seas especially with some swell.

1. Laid down at Vickers in 1916, launched in 1919 and lost during exercises in Lyme Bay, Dorset, England on 26 January 1932.
