England improving defence of the Table Bay and Simonstown, South Africa according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1938 no.7

An item referred to the magazine U.S.R. dated 13 October 1938 reporting that the Table Bay, South Africa was to be defended by 38cm guns. The defence works at Simonstown were also to be improved. Both bases could then be used by the British Royal Navy as operational bases.
