New German destroyers named after officers killed during the First World War according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1938 no. 5

An item referred to the magazine Schiffbau dated 15 June 1938 reporting that the German destroyers Z 17-22 were to be baptized Diether von Roeder, Hans Lüdemann, Herman Künne, Karl Galster, Wilhelm Heidkamp and Anton Schmidt, all officers killed in the First World War while serving on board of torpedo boats and other ships.
