US Navy satisfied with triple gun turrets according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad 1917/1918 no. 3

Nevada-class

Pennsylvania-class

An item referred to the Army and Naval Journal reporting that during the gun exercises of the American USS Nevada, Oklahoma and Pennsylvania the triple turrets performed such well that the US Navy wanted to keep this kind of turrets. An advantage was that 4x3-35,6cm turrets were as heavy as 6x2-30,5cm guns. During the exercises was a fire control system used similar to that of Sir Perry Scott.
