Richelieu-class
An item dated Paris, France 19th referred to the Journal reporting that the French cabinet intended to built a 35.000 tons armoured cruiser in the next part of the fleet building program.(1) France possessed at that moment over 3-22.189 ton armoured cruisers namely the Bretagne, Provence and Lorraine.(2) Two armoured cruisers each of 26.500 tons named the Dunkerque and Strasbourg (3) were now under construction. The first was to be commissioned against the end of 1936, the second one 18 months later.
