Richelieu-class

An item dated Paris, France 8th reported that the naval arsenal at Brest, France was to be increased on very short notice. A firm of Lyon, France was to start with constructing a new wharf with a length of 1.250 metres to allow capital ships like the Dunkerque (1) to berth. Estimated costs 50 million francs. The length of the new wharf made it also possible for the new to be built 36.000 tons armoured cruiser to berth alongside.(2)
