Russian armoured gunboat Khrabryy or Wkhrabry performed very well during preliminary trials according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1897-1898 No. 7


An item referred to the magazine le Yacht reporting that the Russian armoured gunboat Wkhrabry of 1.492 ton executed her preliminary trials. Horsepower 2.000 ihp and a design speed of 15 miles. Machinery consisted of 2 triple expansion steam engines and 8 Niclausse boilers. The boilers performed excellent resulting in 1/20 more power then expected.(1)

Laid down on 27 December 1894, launched on 21 November 1895, part of the Soviet navy since 30 December 1922, renamed Krasnoye Znamya, sunk by Finnish motor torpedo boats in the harbour of Lavansaari, Gulf of Finland on 18 November 1942, salvaged on 13 November 1943, decommissioned on 17 September 1944 and stricken in 1960.
