Swedish Oden-class coastal defence ships modernized according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1916-1917 no. 4

Thor of de Oden-class

An item referred to the German magazine Schiffbau reporting that the Swish coast defence ships Oden, Thor and Njord were modernized to obtain a larger combat more and to become a better seaworthiness. Both funnels were replaced by a single one with a larger diameter and the fore fighting mast was replaced by a lighter version. The command bridge and the conning tower were also separated.(1)

1. Of the Oden-class consisting of the Oden, Niord or Njord and the Thor, laid down in respectively 1897, 1899 and 1898 with a displacement of 3.300 tons.
