American store ship USS Celtic (AF-2) visited the Dutch East Indies in 1901

Called an auxiliary cruiser by the Jaarboek van de Koninklijke Nederlandsche Zeemacht 1901-1902 visiting Ambon, Dutch East Indies in October 1901.(1)

1. Laid down as the steamship Celtic Cloud in 1891, purchased by the US Navy on 14 May 1898, commissioned as the USS Celtic on 27 May 1898, decommissioned between 18 September 1903-23 October 1908, decommissioned for the last time on 17 Mat 1922 and sold on 23 January 1923.
