An item reported that the American warship Isla de Luzon (1) arrived at Oleh-Leh, Aceh, Dutch East Indies on 25 September and departed on the 276h via Sabang, Dutch East Indies towards Colombo, Ceylon.(2)

Laid down by Sir WG Armstrong Mitchell&Company, Elswick, Tyne and Wear, England as a Spanish protected cruiser 2nd class on 25 February 1886, launched on 13 November 1886, completed on 22 September 1887, captured by the USA on 1 May 1898, commissioned as a gunboat on 31 January 1900, decommissioned on 23 July 1919 and sold to be come a merchant ship on 10 March 1920.
2. Called a gunboat visiting Oleh-leh, Dutch East Indies between 25-26 September 1902 according to the Jaarboek van de Koninklijke Nederlandsche Zeemacht 1901-1902.
