Askold
An item referred to the magazine le Yacht reporting that the Russian 6.550 ton protected cruiser Bogatyr (1) achieved with forced draft during the 12 hours full speed trial a speed of 24,15 miles with 20.250 ihp and the Askold (2) of a similar design 20,11 miles.

1. Of the Bogatyr-class, consisting of the Bogatyr, Oleg, Kagul, Pamiat Merkuria and Vityaz (never completed), preceded by the Askold and succeeded by the Novik. Laid down at the AG Vulcan Shipyard, Stettin, Germany with yard number 247 on 22 December 1899, launched on 30 July 1901, commissioned on 20 August 1902 and broken up in Germany in 1922.
2. Laid down by Germaniawerft, Kiel, Germany on 8 June 1899, launched on 2 March 1900, commissioned on 25 January 1902 and broken up in 1922.
