An item referred to the magazine Schiffbau dated 1 September 1937 reporting that the of the French La Pomone-class torpedo boats now were 12 boats completed or under construction. Dimensions 80,7 x 7,9 x 2,85 metres. The machinery consisted of turbines delivering 22.000hp allowing a maximum speed of 34-45 knots and with a speed of 18 knots and a fuel bunker capacity of 90 tons was their range 1.800 nautical miles. Very strongly built, especially for the need of ramming submarines. Fitted out with a powerful wireless and listening equipment and seemed this class especially be built as submarine chasers.(1)
