An item reported on Sunday 24th at 17.00 clock the American bark ship Wm. M. Beesie stranded near Groot Tidong (Hoorn eilanden) and Poeloe Babie, Dutch East Indies. Probably was the exact location the Struisvogel kliff. The American consul was telegraphed with the question to inform the assistant resident who could on his turn request the commanding officer of the navy to sent support from Batavia, Dutch East Indies.
