French navy founding social affairs offices in major naval bases according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1937 no.

 An item referred to the magazine Revue Maritime dated July 1937 reporting that the French navy founded social affairs offices in Cherbourg, Brest, Lorient, Toulon and Bizerte (Tunisia) for her personnel. The offices were to support the sailors and their households/families but also to organize matches and realize sport facilities.
