French submarine Gustave Zédé launched according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1913-1914 no. 4

An item reported that the recently launched French submarine Gustave Zédé was fitted out with 2-1.500hp electric motors for submerged propulsion. For surface propulsion was she fitted out with 2-1.500hp steam engines connected with 2x2 generators. The armament consisted of 2 bow torpedo tubes and 6 external torpedo launchers. During the trials she achieved a surfaced speed of 15,5 miles.(1)

1. Q92. Of the Gustave Zédé-class, with as sister ship the Néréide, laid down in February 1911, launched by Arsenal de Cherbourg, France on 20 May 1913, completed on 10 October 1914 and stricken in 1937. Calibre of the torpedo tubes was 45cm/1.7”.
