New defence works built to protected Rosyth, Scotland according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1913-1914 no. 4

An item reported that to lead the defence of the Scottish coast vice admiral Loury (1) was appointed to senior officer. At the same time were strong defence works realized for protection of Rosyth.

1. Sir Robert Swinburne Lowry (4 March 1854-29 May 1920), served in the British Royal Vavy between <1872-1917 ending in the rank of admiral, commander-in-chief of Rosyth between July  1913-June 1916.
