Sweden interested in building coastal defence ships according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1939 no. 6

An item referred to the magazine Marine Rundschau dated April 1939 reporting that the Swedish minister of Defence came with a proposal of building 2-8.000 ton coastal defence ships with the dimensions 133 x 19,5 x 5,7 metres. Speed 22 knots. Armament consisted of 4-25cm/9.84” guns, 2x3-12cm/4.7” guns, 8-4cm/1.57” anti aircraft guns and further more an unspecified number of machineguns.
