An item referred to the magazine Mitteilungen aus dem Gebiete des Seewesens reporting that at the shipyard Elswick, England the Chilean cruiser O‘Higgins was launched. Displacement 8.500 tons and as dimensions 125,5 x 19,1 x 6,7 metres. Design speed 21,25 miles and a coal bunker capacity 1.200 tons. The armament consisted of 4-20cm guns, 10-15cm guns, 4-10cm guns, 10-7,5cm guns. 10-5,7cm quick firing guns, 4 machineguns and 3 torpedo tubes.(1)
