American whaler John A. Robb to start new cruise according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 3 January 1860

An item referred to a letter written by a boatsteerer on board of the American bark John A. Robb, master Baker, of Fairhaven when she was lying on 30 September at Anjelier loaded with 600 barrels sperm and 100 barrels whale oil. All went well on board as she was to leave for a new cruise with the intention to visit Mauritius in August.(1)

1. Agent L.C. Tripp, measured 273 tons, departed on 21 October 1857 to the North Pacific. Reported on 30 September 1859 from Anjelier with 800 barrels sperm and 100 barrels whale oil.
