Russian torpedo cruiser designed at Warnemünde, Germany according to a CIA report dated 15 January 1948

An item reported that the Technisch-Wissenschaftlichen Bureau, Warnemünde, Germany redesigned the designs of 6.000 ton German cruisers fitting out with a stronger armour resulting in what called a ‘gedeckte’ cruiser [protected cruiser?]. To be fitted out with turbines machinery while the Russian plants were not able to supply the wanted 2.400hp M.A.N. 22 engines. The ships were to be built by Russian shipyards while the bureau was just responsible for the designs.
