The Albanian navy according to a CIA report dated 24 June 1949

An item reported that the estimated personnel strength of the Albanian navy was reckoned to be around 600 men. The minesweepers No. 16 and 18 were seen at Durres just like 5 of the torpedo boats. The No. 18 of 20 tons was armed with 1 twin machinegun of the Breda model, had a speed of just 6 knots and a crew numbering 12 men including a warrant officer. The torpedo boats were of varying types with a length of 12 metres, an armament of 1 machinegun and as disappointing speed of just 13 knots. Another torpedo boat was seen at Sarande and three more at the Island of Saseno.
