The tugs of the Soviet Sukhona River Steamship Company according to a CIA report dated 30 April 1953

An item reported that the Sukhona River Steamship Company (Sukhonskoye Rechnoye Parakhodstvo with her central directorate at Veliky Ustyug was active on the river Sukhona river as far as Svernaya Dvina. Except for 50 barges numbered her fleet 60 self-propelled ships. The latter were mostly steam engine paddle wheel tugs using wood as fuel.
