British Royal Navy testing new destroyers dock according to the magazine Mitteilungen aus dem Gebiete des Seewesens dated 1906 no. 10

An item reported that during the tests with the new dock for destroyer resulted in docking the 500 ton destroyer Gala (1) within 20 minutes. The dimensions of the dock were 76,2 x 15,24 metres and was to be stationed near Haslar at the west side of the entrance to Portsmouth, England.

Yarrow type River-class destroyer ordered under the 1903-1903 Naval Estimates, laid down by Yarrow, Poplar, United Kingdom, launched on 7 January 1905, commissioned in April 1905 and sunk when she collided the British scout cruiser HMS Attentive. Displacement 590 (standard)-660 (full load) tons and as dimensions 70,51 (over all) x 7,16 x 2,1197 metres or 231.4 x 23.6 x 7.½ feet.
