Germany built Chinese Hai Ling destroyers executing trials according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1899-1900 no. 6

An item referred to the magazine Mittheilungen aus dem Gebiete des Seewesens reporting that the Chinese destroyer Hoi-Lung achieved a speed of 35,2 mile. Her sister ships Hoi-Nju, Hoi-Tsching and Hoi-Hoc also built by the German shipyard Schichau executed their trials and were to depart towards China. The coal bunker capacity allowed with a speed of 14 miles a range of 5.000 nautical miles.(1)
