Bulgarian cargo ship (ex-Fornaes 1945-1946, Danbelt 1946) Rodina 1946-1976

IMO 52984-6. Described as a Hansa B design. Built by Aktiebolaget Burmeister&Wain, Copenhagen, Denmark in 1945. Ordered to be built for the German Schiffahrt-Treuhand GmbH in 1944 and to be used as the Alstertor for the Hamburg-Amerika Linie. Delivered in August 1945 was she in 1946 owned by A/S D/D Dania (Lauritzen, Hellerup). Deadweight 5.200 ton, dimensions 101,5 x 15,5 x 5,5 metres or 444.4-359.5 (over all) x 51.0 x 18.30 feet, horsepower 2.400hp. Crew numbered 42 men. Homeport Sofia.. Owned by the Navigation Maritime Bulgare. Arrived at Sveti Kajo near Split, Yugoslavia on 4 January 1976 to be scrapped.
