The new German Helgoland-class dreadnoughts according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1909-1910 no. 6

An item referred to French magazines reporting that the German 21.500 tons battleships Ersatz Oldenburg, Siegfried and Beowulf were to be armed with 12-30cm L/50 guns, 12-15cm guns and 20-8,8cm guns. Their armament was more or less similar to the Kawachi and Setsu of the Japanese navy.(1)

1. The Helgoland-class preceded by the Nassau-class and succeeded by the Kaiser-class. Helgoland was the Ersatz Siegfried, Oldenburg the Ersatz Frithjof, Ostfriesland the Ersatz Oldenburg and the Thüringen the Ersatz Beowulf. Displacement 22.808 (design)-24.700 (full load) tons and as armament 6x2-30,5cm/12.0” guns, 14-15cm/5.9” guns, 14-8,8cm/3.5” guns and 6-50cm/20” torpedo tubes. Built between 19082-1912 and served between 1911-1920.
