Australian destroyer HMAS Huon visited the Dutch East Indies in 1916


An item reported that the British destroyer Huon visited the Dutch East Indies harbour Menado on 5 August 1916.

1. Of the Royal Australian Navy. Of the River-class torpedo boat destroyers. Laid down by Cockatoo Docks and Engineering Company, Sydney, Australia on 25 January 1913, launched on 19 December 1914, commissioned on 14 December 1915, completed on 4 February 1916, decommissioned on 7 June 1928 and used as a gunnery target and finally scuttled on 10 April 1931.
