She was laid down at the Koninklijke Maatschappij De Schelde at Vlissingen, Netherlands on 27 March 1895, launched on 20 March 1897, commissioned on 1 June 1898, stricken in 1924 and sold to be broken up on 27 August 1924. The weapon is of the town Veere in the province Zeeland.
