Dutch tank barge California in 1945

Vice admiral L.A.C.M. Doorman, head Dutch Military Mission at the Allied Control Commission (A.C.C.) corresponded in 1946 with the Department of Foreign Affairs, The Hague, Netherlands dealing with Dutch ships located in the Russian controlled zone of Germany. The file contains a list dated Amsterdam, Netherlands 7 November 1945 dealing with Dutch tank barges.

Last known position Niegripp, tonnage 713,976 tons and owner Phs. Van Ommeren’s Scheepvaartbedrijf N.V., Rotterdam, Netherlands.(1)

1. ENI 2303742, built by Van der Giessen, Krimpen a/d Ijssel, Netherlands with yard number 551 in 1926, renamed Epterode in 1957 owned by Flusstankschiffahrt GmbH&Co., Hamburg, Germany and there broken up in 1973.
