French protected cruiser Alger visited Sabang, Dutch East Indies in 1910

An item reported that the French cruiser 2nd class Alger (1) visited Sabang, Dutch East Indies (2) between 6-7 October 1910.(3) 

Notes
1.Of the Alger-class protected cruiser consisting of the Alger, Isly and Jen Bart, laid down at Arsenal de Cherbourg, France in November 1887, launched in November 1889, commissioned in January 1891 and decommissioned in 1911, became a pontoon at Rochefort and finally stricken in 1922.
2. Sabang, Dutch East Indies was important coal station for Dutch and foreign warships and merchant ships.
