Built for account of the Imperial Danube Steam Navigation Company for service on the Danube using the wire-rope towage method using Fowler‘s clip-drum. Designed by managing director of the Central Towing Company, Cologne, Germany Mr. T. Schwarz. Flat-bottomed with 2 false keels. Iron-built. At the bow and stern fitted out with a large rudder separately controlled by a wheel near the centre of the boat. Dimensions 138 x 24.5 x7.5 (hold) x 3.9feet. Displacement around 200 tons. In second half of 1871 executing towage trials. Weight machinery 42 ton, boilers 32 ton and coal bunker capacity 10 ton.
