An item reported that the at Dundee, Scotland fitted out steam whaler Esquimaux with a cargo capacity of 436 tons had in 1873 as catch results while active in Greenland and Davis Strait 9.666 seals, 49 whales, 1.206 hectolitres seal oil, 2.392 hectolitres whale oil, total 3.598 litres oil and 6.000 kilo whalebone.
