An item reported that the at Dundee, Scotland fitted out steam whaler Erik with a cargo capacity of 442 tons had in 1873 as catch results while active in Greenland and Davis Strait 536 seals, 17 whales, 75 hectolitres seal oil, 2.459 hectolitres whale oil, total 2.534 litres oil and 11.500 kilo whalebone.
