Austrian and German merchant ships laid up and/or interned in Dutch harbours according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 1 October 1916

An item reported that since the war [First World War 29 July 1914] broke out several Austrian and German merchant steam ships were laid up in the harbour of Rotterdam, Netherlands of which since 83 German ships departed to sea leaving 15 behind. At the moment were 12 German and 3 Austrian steam ships lying in Dutch harbours excluded he interned German ships Calliope, Bellona, Hermes and Delia.
