Japanese tanker Kenyo Maru or Ken-yo Maru 1939-1944


Built by Kawasaki Dockyard Co. Ltd., Kobe, Japan in 1939, owned by Kokyo Kisen K.K., Tokyo, Japan. Gross tonnage 10.000 tons, net tonnage 6.470 tons and as dimensions 500 x 65 x 37.1 feet. Sunk by the American submarine USS Guardfish on 14 January 1944 and stricken on 10 March 1944. Purchased by the Japanese Imperial Navy on 17 August 1941 and converted into an auxiliary ships.
