Norwegian and Danish sailors choosing for Allies according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 17 April 1940

An item reported that the last few days already around 20 Norwegian and Danish merchant ships entered voluntarily an east Canadian harbour and that their crews were willing to help the allies.
