Approaches to Chichijima, Bonin Islands mined by Japanese according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee. Daily summary dated 25 March 1942

An item reported that the Japanese mined the approaches to Chichijima on the Bonin Islands which according to the J.I.C. was the base for the Japanese First Fleet which was the main striking Japanese naval force.
