Japanese suffering logistical problems in occupied area according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee. Daily summary dated 25 March 1942

An item referred to many reports showing the Japanese logistical problems like lacking fuel oil and gasoline in the widely areas of occupation. To solve this problem Japan needed more merchant ships and would do anything to acquire foreign ships especially Vichy French and Norway registered.
