An item reported that due to an internal explosion of board of the Dutch submarine Hr.Ms. KIV she would have to stay for at least a month at Colombo, Cyelon. Two crew members were killed.(1)

1. Building ordered on 29 November 1915, contracted in November 1915, laid down by the Kon. Mij. De Schelde, Vlissingen, Netherlands with yard number 164 on 30 December 1916, launched on 2 July 1920, delivered on 27 April 1921, the explosion was on 9 November and decommissioned in March 1937
