Launched as the German cargo ship Michael JebsenbyHowaltdswerke, Kiel for account of Michael Jebsen Apenrade between 1904-1905, served as the German possession at Tsingtao, China, scuttled in the Jiaozhou Bay on 28 October or in November 1914, salvaged by the Japanese, renamed Koshu on 16 July 1915, used during the First World War as a cargo ship, converted into a surveying vessel in 1921, officially classified in 1921 and dismantled on 1 April 1940. With a displacement of 2,270 tons and as dimensions 76.53 x 11.00 x 3.73 metres. Coal bunker capacity 250 tons. Speed 10.3 knots. Crew numbered 101 men.
