An item reported that the British light cruiser HMS Cardiff was bound for Gibraltar on 15 November.(1)

C-class Ceres sub-class, Preceded by Arethusa-class, succeeded by Danae-class, building ordered in March-April 1915, laid down by Fairfield Shipbuilding and Engineering Company, Govan, Scotland on 22 July 1916, launched on 12 April 1917, completed on 25 June 1917, decommissioned on 3 September 1945 and sold to be broken up on 23 January 1946.
