Japanese cargo ship (ex-Yehime Maru 1920-1938) Ehime Maru 1938-1943

Call sign JAXO. Built by Uraga Dock Co. Ltd., Uraga, Japan in January 1920 and sunk by the American submarine USS Seahorse (SS-304) her south of Honshu on 2 November 1943. She was then used as army transport. Gross tonnage 4,654 tons , under deck 3,927 tons, net tonnage 3,367 tons and as dimensions 360.0 x 51.2 x 28.5 x8 (light)-23 (loaded feet. Reciprocating propulsion, single screw, 358 nhp, coal bunker capacity 1,700 tons, and a range of 15,000 nautical miles/10 knots.
