Indonesia interested in building warships in Sweden according to the Australia Station Intelligence Summary dated 1 February 1956

An item reported that the Indonesian Chief of Naval Staff vice admiral Subijakto arrive in the United Kingdom after his visit to Sweden. At Sweden he would have discussed the building of warships there, purchase of weapons and training officers. Sweden however reacted reluctant doubting if Indonesia could pay either to resist Communism.
