Dutch Curacaose Scheepvaart Maatschappij decreased number of tankers in service according to the Dutch newspaper Het Vaderland evening edition dated 22 November 1930

According to a tiding from Willemstad caused the decreased oil production by Venezuela the transfer of 5 of the 33 oil tankers belonging to the Curacaose Scheepvaart Maatschappij to Europe and Singapore. A side effect of this decision was that the import of crude oil towards Curacao and the shipping in the harbour considerable decreased and it was expected that on short term employees were to be fired.
