Movements of the Greeks and Turkish navies the Dutch Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 26 October 1821

Vienna, 13 October, The newspaper Oesterreichische Beobachter wrote that according to the Austrian master Alimonda, who coming from Zante arrived at Trieste, the Turkish fleet landed 7.000 men at Coron, Morea, while supplying the fortress with victuals. The fleet departed the 13th from there again to Zante and the 15th via the Gulf of Lepante towards Patras, obviously to land troops and supplying fortifications with victuals. The same master also said that armed Greek vessels arrived in the harbours of Spezia, Hydra and Ipsara for repairs so being unable to do something against the Turkish fleet.
