According to tidings dated Banks of the Dona 6 February were men at Constantinople still busy to fit out warships of different sizes. The Pasha of Egypt assured the Divan that at the end of January a considerable squadron would depart to free Candia and to recover the control over the islands Hydra, Spezzia and Ipsara.
